Law Firm

April 11, 2020 by Pamela Benham Filed Under: Corporate Photography

This Law Firm epitomized many wonderful attributes of location photography. Most importantly the attorneys were open to ideas, willing to try different poses, locations. Their goal was to show how they work, what they do and more importantly how they function as a highly productive team.

Working with them for a couple of hours, I realized the photographs needed to be about their relationship with one another and their profession. The images reflect the variety available when using location photography to tell your company’s story.

Cashmere Wrapping

Cashmere Wrapping is a small business which sells high quality scarves, hand crafted in Nepal. When the owner moved to Boise from Seattle – she decided to market her products, using real people, wearing the scarves, in authentic Idaho locations.

Although the photo shoot, was meticulously organized and designed, working on location provided opportunities to bounce around to various locations, making decisions, while pivoting to grab moments which made the difference in showing the elegance of the scarves and the fun when wearing them.

College of Western Idaho

A typical photo shoot for CWI consists of visiting several departments (e.g. Nursing, Culinary, Biology, Computer Science, etc) and thoroughly photographing each department, to keep their media library up to date. These images are used on billboard advertising, media campaigns, social media, etc. We highlight what makes CWI unique and vital as a community educational institution. We capture the story of learning.

McCall Donnelly High School

October 10, 2018 by Pamela Benham Filed Under: Editorial Photography

The first day of school!

Dawn was breaking. Walking into McCall Donnelly High School – the corridors were quiet and empty.

For many students they were taking their first step into a new beginning – as a freshmen in High School.  The bell erupted the silence, quickly replaced by a hustle & bustle of students pouring through the doors – wondering if they would make their first class and if so – if they would find the right class.

Dangling off of their fingers was a small rectangular piece of paper – their daily and weekly schedule – their brick and mortar guide post –  of times,  teacher’s names and room numbers. Some had smart phones pointed upward – towards the heavens – hoping there was GPS and any other magical app which would get them through their first day without a hiccup.

This is what the ‘first day’ will always represent. A new beginning filled with surprises, challenges and new experiences to always remember.
